Check In:
Upon arriving at the hotel, I was greeted by the concierge where he collects my luggage and I headed up to the 8th floor where the check in area is located. The check in area was empty and I was served right away. While getting my check in sorted, a staff brought a glass of much needed cold drink for me. I haven't been able to drink 2 sips before my check in is complete and got my key to the room.
Room/Amenities:

The room size is pretty standard, right near the entrance is the semi open area with the sink, and then a separate toilet and shower. On the other side is where the wardrobe and mini bar is located.

Further into the room is the 43" TV and directly opposite is the King Size bed. Next to the TV is where you'll find a fairly average size working desk and a small storage area where they placed all the brochures for the services that the hotel offers, such as the famous Thai massage. By the window overlooking the city is also a long couch to sit or chill.

As I was exploring the room and specifically the mini bar section, I have found an interesting item, if you haven't guessed it yet, it's a pack of condom. Maybe it is not surprising for some, and I am not, but it is not something you see in a hotel often. I suppose it is convenient for people to get into action without needing to worry about going out to find it, a very thoughtful touch (don't think it is free though).

The hotel is located near the Makassan station, which has a train station that goes directly to the BKK airport (not DMK), and an underground that goes to the city centre. I made a mistake thinking that it is close (it is a 15 minute walk from the airport station since there's no direct route to get to the street under it), so when I arrived there I actually walk from the station to the

airport with my luggage and non stop traffic (by that I do mean they do not stop on red light, imagine the terrifying face I was making while carrying my 20kg large suitcase), and the road that goes to the hotel doesn't have pedestrian walk way, so I was walking literally on the road while risking getting run over (should have taken a cab!), however what I didn't realise was that the hotel actually offers complimentary tuk tuk service between the hotel and the station (but you'll have to call them once you have arrived, running 24/7, but on the outbound leg they only run on the schedule; they also have limited daily hourly schedule to Central Mall - one way only)
The hotel also has a gym and a pool for guests to use. The same area also houses a restaurant and a bar, where guests can chill by the pool and a small man made grassy area to drink or eat, and there's live entertainment during the evening. Happy hour runs daily during the late noon/early evening period.
Conclusion:
The hotel location is not exactly great, but with the right timing and taking the complimentary shuttle service, it will still get you into the shopping district with minimal spending. During the evening where shuttle no longer run (except for pickup from the station), you will have to get a cab or ride share (Grab), that will set you back around 100 baht one way (depending on traffic as well, since one time it took over half hour, minimal traffic condition would probably take 15 minutes to around Central mall).
